Hydro Excavation & Vac Truck Hire Hervey Bay
Hervey Bay extends Dynamic's coverage into the Fraser Coast and wider regional Queensland. Crews support utility, council and civil works where reliable non-destructive digging and drainage maintenance are needed away from the major metros.
Hydro excavation on the Fraser Coast
Hydro excavation cuts ground with pressurised water and recovers the spoil by vacuum, which makes it a controlled way to dig around services already in the ground. It is a form of non-destructive digging and it is the method usually accepted where water, sewer, power or telecommunications assets are known or suspected to be present.
Across Hervey Bay and the wider Fraser Coast the work is mostly service proving and potholing before design or construction, exposing assets ahead of trenching and boring, precision trenching, and excavation beside existing infrastructure. Ground conditions and the services present determine the method, so scope is confirmed before crews mobilise.
Regional coverage and travel time
Regional Queensland work is shaped by distance. Vacuum excavation plant is heavy and slow to move, and a unit dispatched from a metropolitan depot can spend more of the day travelling than working. A base in the region is what makes a single day of potholing economic and what makes short-notice attendance realistic rather than theoretical.
It also changes how a programme is put together. Where several small jobs across the Fraser Coast and Bundaberg can be sequenced into one mobilisation, the cost per site drops considerably, so it is worth raising the full scope at enquiry rather than booking each site separately.
Water, wastewater and drainage maintenance
Drain cleaning and high-pressure jetting clears stormwater and sewer lines, pits, gullies and culverts, with the material recovered by vacuum. Across dispersed regional networks this is largely programmed maintenance, with reactive attendance after blockages and after heavy rain.
CCTV inspection records the condition of a line and identifies blockages, root intrusion, cracking, displaced joints and infiltration. For an asset owner managing a network spread across several towns, condition data is what allows renewal to be prioritised rather than guessed at, and cleaning and inspection are normally run together.
Reactive and after-hours works
Urgent works are part of regional utility and council operations, and the practical questions are what can be on site and how soon. Both depend on what is available in the region at the time, so response is confirmed on the call rather than promised in advance.
Excavators, bobcats, tip trucks and hydro tankers can be supplied with the same crews where a job needs supporting plant, and underground service locating is available through the Dynamic Group so a site can be located and exposed through one point of contact.

Suburbs and areas we cover
Pialba is the operating base for the Fraser Coast. The areas listed are covered from that base rather than from a depot in each town, and the coverage reaches Maryborough, Childers and Bundaberg.

Exposing NBN and telecommunications services on the Fraser Coast
Telecommunications conduit is shallow, congested and easy to damage. This is how non-destructive digging is used to expose NBN and telecommunications assets on the Fraser Coast, and what makes the work different from general excavation.

4x4 vacuum trucks: reaching sites conventional plant cannot
Not every excavation is at the end of a sealed road. Dynamic operates 4x4 vacuum excavation units built to reach sites across rocky tracks, sand and steep terrain, where a conventional truck would not get in or would not get back out.

Hydro excavation as a risk control on civil construction sites
On a civil site the excavation method is a programme decision as much as a safety one. Hydro excavation is specified because it narrows the range of things that can go wrong at the point where a project is most exposed.
